An American Express virtual card from Vizovcc is a prepaid Amex card for online payments at merchants that accept American Express. You buy it from your account balance, and the card details appear in your dashboard once the card is ready. Because it is virtual, there is no plastic card: you copy the details into a checkout form when you pay.
Unlike an American Express virtual credit card, this card is prepaid: you spend the balance loaded onto it rather than borrowed credit, which keeps your spending simple to track.
Who the American Express virtual card is for
This card suits buyers who:
- Want to pay a website or online service that lists American Express as a payment option
- Prefer to keep online purchases separate from their main bank card
- Want a set spending amount for one purchase, a trial or a small project budget
- Hold crypto and want to use it for card payments online
It is not the right choice for a merchant that does not take Amex at all. In that case, a prepaid Visa or Mastercard from our shop may fit better.
How to buy and use your Amex virtual card
- Create an account. Sign up on Vizovcc and log in to your dashboard.
- Add balance with crypto. Make a deposit in Bitcoin, USDT or another supported coin. Once the deposit is credited, it shows as balance in your account.
- Open the card page. Go to our American Express prepaid card page and check the current price. Part of the price is our card issue charge, and the rest is loaded onto the card as balance for your online spending.
- Buy the card from your balance. Confirm the purchase on the card page.
- Find your card details. Your American Express virtual card number, expiry date and security code appear in your dashboard once the card is ready. Some cards are ready right away, while others are prepared by our team after purchase.
- Pay online. Choose American Express or card payment at checkout and enter the details exactly as shown.

Tips for paying online with a prepaid Amex card
- Check Amex acceptance first. Look for the American Express logo or option at checkout before you buy. Not every merchant accepts Amex, and any platform can decline a prepaid card.
- Enter the number carefully. American Express numbers are usually 15 digits, one shorter than most Visa and Mastercard numbers. Depending on the site, the security code may be labelled CVV, CID or security code.
- Leave some spare balance. Some merchants run a small verification charge or convert the price into another currency, so the final total can end up slightly higher than the listed price.
- Plan for renewals. If you use the card for a subscription, each renewal needs enough balance on the card, and a frozen card can stop the renewal from going through.
- Use the freeze option. When you are not using the card for a while, freeze it from your dashboard and unfreeze it when you need it again.
- Protect the card details. Anyone with the number, expiry date and security code can try to spend the balance, so keep them to yourself.
What to do if a payment is declined
Some platforms refuse prepaid cards as a matter of policy, and every merchant runs its own checks. Work through these steps:
- Check that the card balance covers the full total, including tax, shipping and any currency conversion.
- Confirm that the card number, expiry date and security code were entered exactly as they appear in your dashboard.
- Make sure the card is not frozen. If it is, unfreeze it in your dashboard and try again.
- Check that the merchant accepts American Express for this type of purchase.
- Avoid retrying many times in a row, as repeated attempts can trigger the merchant's own fraud checks.
- Contact support through live chat on the site, or on WhatsApp, Telegram or email from our Contact page, and mention the store, when you tried to pay and the exact wording of any error.
If a merchant simply does not accept prepaid American Express cards, trying again will not help. Ask support which card type may suit that merchant before you buy another card.
